Big boy hair cut!

Mommy & daddy took me to Owensboro to get my hair cut at a place called Snips & Parties. Mommy has trimmed my hair several times now but it needed an all over cut. I got to sit in a yellow Hummer.

Picked the movie "Cars" to watch & a cute girl to cut my hair!

What more could a boy ask for?? Mommy came prepared with a sucker & my fav toys & such, but none needed. I was mesmerized by how cool it all was there!

Wasn't too sure about that clipper thing! It left red spots on my super sensitive baby soft skin!

DONE!! Oh yeah, there's that super neat vacuum too! Telling ya, I was in 7th heaven!! I got a framed certificate with an after picture and Stephanie filled in my info on my 1st haircut. Oh and saved a lock of my hair too! What a stud! I think daddy was jealous & wanted to get his hair cut next!

After that we went through a cool car wash.

Christmas Day!

Another exciting filled day! Xmas Day we have lunch at Mamaw & Papaw Clark's. So the 3 of us, mamaw & papaw, Uncle Eric & Aunt Katrina & cousin Haylee, Uncle Grant & Aunt Shannon & my cousins Garrett, Alex, Cole & Madelyn were ready to eat! Then open presents! Whew what a mad house! I decided I'd rather take a nap while all the madness was going on & open my stuff later.

Christmas Eve w/Stallings Side

We host Christmas for daddy's side of the family on Xmas Eve. Mamaw Sheila, Papaw Steve, MamMa CoCo, Aunt Melanie, Uncle Kenny & my cousins Chris & Azlin all came. Here are a few pics of the evening.

13 months old

Lucky 13!  Just had doctor's appt so my stats have just been posted so I'll save you from reading them again! Let's see what's new....I started riding my 4wheeler! Not just sitting on it, pushing the button & really going...need brakes!

I've been sleeping all nite still! Love to watch Mater Tales on tv, mommy taught me to say "Daggum" just like Mater! I'm a remote control theif! But ask me for it & I'll bring it to you too, so that's a plus! FINALLY learned how to drink thru a straw! Mommy was about to give up on me. I can shake my head no, when I'm told no...kinda gets me out of trouble! New words...choo choo, HI!, mamaw (kinda). Still love books, cars, anything to make noise with, stacking things, putting stuff in baskets, etc. I can get down off the couch & mommy & daddy's bed...that's a long drop! Oh & I can put coins into my piggy bank so you better watch your change!!

12 month check up...Finally!

I couldn't go to my 12 month check up & get shots like I was suppose to because that was when I was under the weather so I finally went today. They weighed me as 23lbs 1oz, that's the 44%ile. Measured at 31in long, 73%ile. My head circumference was 48 1/2", 92%ile....still ruling that catergory....just like daddy! Big ol Stallings head! Sadly, I got 4 shots! Mommy & mamaw thought I was going to have a horrible reaction & cry til I puked. They were ready for it but I only cried a little bit! I'm such a big boy! Dr. J was once again very impressed with all I have accomplished already. That's me, an overachiever!

More new tricks!

SILLY FACE!! Ask me where my silly face is & I wrinkle up my nose and make a silly face! Everyone laughs at me! In the picture, I look a bit evil...you gotta see it in person. Best in action. **Good shot of my mater teeth as daddy calls 'em!

BLOWING KISSES!! I can do that too. Right now EVERYONE gets some! That probably won't last too long though.

HO HO HO!! Ask me what Santa Claus says & I say..."hu hu" sometimes a third "hu" usually only two.

TELEPHONE!! I am obsessed with phones. Watch it or I'll steal your phone! Or even the remote & use it like a phone...I walk around with it by my ear & say "Oooo" "eellllooooo" then jabber jabber.

Big Man in the Red Suit

Mommy & Mamaw & I went to Santa Claus Ind. today. We went to go to the new Christmas Store & shop a bit. Before we went into the store there was a guy outside that kept waving at me. Mommy said to go to him so she could take a picture. I don't know what the big deal was about him. But I couldn't take my eyes off of him! ***Pics to follow soon!

1st parade

Even though it was SUPER cold today we went to the Xmas Parade. It was my first parade, last year I wasn't suppose to be out & about yet. We got all bundled up & headed out.

I enjoyed all the lights & sirens & sights. It was a good time. Plus we got lots of candy!! And I hi-fived a ninja turtle!! What a cool day!

It's my party!!

My first birthday party!!

We had my big party the Saturday after Thanksgiving (had some scheduling difficulties due to Mamaw & Papaw Clark's travels) but better late than never! We had lots of family join us & some very yummy food! Mamaw Clark made my cake, again I love food so it was delish!! I got lots of presents, which I love! I love to play, play, play! Mommy says I do such a good job of playing & keeping myself entertained.

Oh happy day!!

Today marks a special day for us! One year ago today (11-25), I got released from the NICU and got to finally come home with my mommy & daddy! It's kind of like my other birthday! I can't believe it's been a year, we made it!! No broken bones, no major illnesses, and mom's got a little bit of her sanity left still! I think we're gonna make it!!

12 month stats

Weigh about 23 1/2 pounds. (Come a long way from 4lbs 10oz just 12 short months ago!!)

I found a new love...Monster Trucks! I'm in a trance when they are on tv...I grunt & get so excited watching them.

1st high fever!

I came down with a fever. At it's highest it was 103. Mommy & daddy did all they could & watched me closely. We went to the doctor & they tested me for the flu. It was negative but since the H1N1 is going around, they wanted to treat me as if I had the flu. So off to get a prescription of Tamiflu! My fever had already broke by the time we went to the doctor & it stayed away. Then I got a rash all over my belly, back, & face. Mommy thinks I had roseola. Guess we'll never really know. Here's some pics of my rash, kinda hard to see though.

BIRTHDAY BOY!!

I'm one! (*see my 1 finger I'm holding up!) We celebrated with a mini-party tonight. Mommy, Daddy, Mamaw & Papaw Clark & Uncle Eric, Aunt Katrina & Cuz Haylee came over. We ate & had a little cake for me to play in, that was fun! It was really good too. I got to open presents but didn't really understand what was going on, I just wanted to play with my new toys!

I'M A WALKER!!! Just when mommy & mamaw said they didn't think I was going to be walking by the time I turned 1....I proved them wrong, just under a week to spare!! Look out people, I've go places to go & explore!! No stopping me now!

Happy Halloween!

My first real Halloween! (Last year I missed it by a couple of weeks but I was very present in mommy's costume. She had to incorporate me into something, so she was a pregnant Hooter's girl. Ha ha ha!!)

So now it's my turn to make my own special apperance.....Our plan was to do the Witches Walk but it was rainy & yucky out so I slept through it anyway. I was suppose to be a monster that night, good thing mommy took pics of me trying on my costume, because no one got to see me in it! : (

So on actual Halloween night we had planned to go around to our few neighbors to say hi, but I had a different plan of SLEEPING! What can I say, I like to sleep, just like mommy but I do it more! Hmmm I think she's trying to tell me something, I don't get it. Anyway, we all dress up and go to eat at the Post, just to have a good time & be silly. So mommy made our costumes, spent under $20 total for everything, including daddy's weird thing on his head?!!?? We went as the Rubbles! Barney, Betty & Bamm Bamm (I love to beat on things just like him!) That's how mommy came up with the idea! Here's a few pics from the night!

11 1/2 months lots to add!

Lots of things going on the past couple of weeks! I'm busy, busy, busy!! Growing boy, with lots to do!! I've always been a climber but now that I'm getting more mobile, I'm getting better & into (ONto) more! I climbed up box one day at work & completely surprised mommy! Also climb the magazine basket trying to get on the end table at home. Watch out! I'm part monkey!! OOO EEE AAHHH AHHHH!!

FINALLY got another tooth in! Only the 3rd one so far! This one is my top right tooth. I still won't let mommy get a pic though. One day maybe.

Now when I clap I actually make some sound. I think it's funny. Ask me where my belly is, I'll show you. Ask me where my nose is, I'll point to YOURS! Ask me for a kiss, you'll get one, sometimes even a big ol wet sloppy open mouth one! Get in line ladies!!! Maybe I should open a kissing booth!?!?

One day we were at CVS in the parking lot & I saw a white truck, and said dada....daddy drives a white truck, but it wasn't him. : (

I can find the things I really like when you ask me where they are like...Elmo in a book, Mater on my pillow, football, car, cup, paci, bottle, stuff like that. Mommy says I'm so smart!

No no no!!

11 months old!

My oh my how can that be?? Eleven months old! I'm getting old! I love to play, play, and play! Mommy keeps my toys in a basket & I just pull myself up to it & dig through them to see what I want. Usually I end up dumping the whole basket out and just surround myself with them all. I also like to get into the big boys toy basket. I think I'm just as big as they are!
Love to play in the kitchen cabinets, actually any cabinets, I can open them all. I cruise along the walls, couches, everything. Just a cruisin' around, starting to get braver & stretching out to reach for something nearby but not totally ready to start the steps. I'll take 2-4 steps but fall forward, a little top heavy still.
If the bathroom door is open, I'm in there! Gotta check stuff out, like the toilet brush, and now the toilet. Mommy caught me just as I was about to get in there & splash the water....dang. Ohh also love the trash can, it's the right height for me, and sometimes I throw things away that's not trash. Whoops, just trying to help!
I LOVE to eat! EVERYTHING! If you are eating, I am too! I can turn the lights on & off, pretty cool. Mommy's teaching me to show how old I am. Oh I can knock. Tell me to knock & I will. If the door is shut, I knock....let me in that bathroom!! I can say bye, hi/hey, dada, mama(rarely!). Jabber like crazy still.
My favorite thing to do is put things inside other things. I have stacker boxes that I love! Mommy's already had to tape them up cause I play with them so much! I put my balls, cars, etc in the boxes too. I like to put the lids on my bottles & sippy cups. Stuff like that. Or just stacking things, love my ring stackers.

ALL BOY!

SHOW OFF!

I was being silly & mommy wanted to catch me doing all my tricks, so I did them for her so she'd leave me alone & give me food! In first video, I do my trick that I've done for quite some time now with the gerber baby. Mommy asks where the baby is & I show her, then wave hi, then kiss (notice my open mouth sloppy kiss, yum yum!). Plus, I added in my newer trick of making myself burp, then laughing about it. Oh and grunting. I like to grunt like a caveman. (ps when mommy says bye bye, and I look away...I'm looking at the door, I'm so smart!)

Funny face

I have a new facial expression, my surprised/excited/shocked face! I do it A LOT!! If I hear a loud truck go down the street, see someone I like, hear someone come in the door & yell for me, well just about anything makes me do it! Here's a video of an example of how it happens, a loud truck went down the road & I heard it & reacted to it. Mommy asks me if I heard the loud truck & I do it again! Everyone thinks I'm so funny!! What do you think??

New Obsession!

CABINETS!! I love to play with the kitchen cabinets! Well any & all cabinets actually! Mommy has tried to keep me away but there's no stopping me! So she has set up a "special cabinet" just for me with stuff I can play with & not break....NO FUN!! Boring! I ignore that cabinet & go for the breakables! Mommy bought the cabinet locks so my fun is gone...BOO! Guess I'll find a new obsession...hmmmm, what next??

Daddy's bday

It was Daddy's birthday, he says it's his 21st?? I don't get it?!?! Mommy bought a little cake for me to play with & says it'd be practice for MY birthday...what the heck are they talkin bout?? I don't know but it sure was fun to play with that messy thing! I can't wait to do it again!

Sicky sicky

Last week we went to the doctor to have my ears checked because I had been tugging on them for a few days. Mommy wasn't sure if I had an ear infection or if it was just because of teething (yeah still no new teeth, almost though). One ear was clear & the other was borderline. She said to wait & see, but if I ran a fever of 100.5 then I'd have to get some medicine. Not a good time to get sick though, mommy, mamaw & I were going to spend the wkend in Evansville for a craft show. I held out! Monday morning I got up with a fever of 101. Boy was I hot!! But I was still myself & acting like normal, which made mom & dad happy, they don't like to see me under the weather. We got my prescription filled, it's some pink girly crap that stinks & is yucky tasting (amoxicillin). I have to take 1 teaspoon twice a day for 10 days. My first dose I took very well & then immediately puked it back up. YUCK! Mommy said I was taking my medicine but I don't know what she's talking about, she must have slipped in with my food ??? Hmmm I gotta watch her! She's tricky. They also have been letting me have sips of Mt Dew...what's up with that?? I think they are up to something! But I am a big boy after all. By the 3rd day I was taking it like a champ with no cover ups, or chasers. It's still gross though!

Lil' Monkey

I love to climb. Over, under, on top of my toys, over the clothes mommy just folded, anything & everything in my way...that includes the coffee table too. Usually there are books on the shelf & I knock them out of the way and here I come!

ICE CREAM!!!

Uncle Eric brought me an ice cream cone the other night but I was sleeping. So mommy let me get my hands on it tonight. It was very good & felt wonderful on my gums, (top teeth are VERY close to popping through!) Enjoy the video as much as I enjoyed my ice cream!!

Trip to the zoo

Mommy & Daddy took me to Mesker Park Zoo in Evansville, and so did our friends Pat, Glenda & Addison. It was a nice day to be outside & I love to be outside! We had a good time seeing all the animals. My favorites were the otters & the giraffes. Daddy took me in the tube to go underneath the otters, they played around right on top of us! We fed the giraffes a leaf & they got SUPER close to us! Take a look at some pictures from the day!

10 months old!

Where does the time go?? Already 10 months old, my birthday is just around the corner!! Mommy has been planning it for months already but can't believe it's so close now! I weigh 22 lbs, 29ish inches, outgrew my carseat so now I have a big boy car seat! I really like it. I love to stand, climb over, under, on everything, nothing gets in my way! You can find me playing in my "clubhouse" under my exersaucer. I like to take my toys under there & bang them on the plastic to make noise. I also dig & dig all the toys out of the basket, making a mess real quick! Especially right after mommy has picked them all up! I feed myself & think I'm hot stuff! Mommy thinks I understand NO! I pucker up & sometimes cry when I don't get my way. I have an obsession with the cap thingy that covers the bolt on the bottom of the toilet....YUCK! Mommy has to keep the bathroom door closed to keep me out of there! Plus I like to climb up the tub & the toilet too. I try to get to the water! But I hear NO NO NO! Then I cry : ( but just for a split second 'cause I just move onto something else! I have been sleeping 9-10 hours a night, mommy is SO happy & proud of me!! She bribes me & I listen, usually! I can wave hi & bye, and say something that sounds like a cross between hi & hey when I wave hi. Sometimes I say buh buh when I wave bye bye. I love to laugh!! Everything is funny to me! I'm such a happy baby! I even giggle after I toot! Mommy says I'm such a typical boy!! And that I'm just like daddy....she's in trouble!

Snip snip...

Mommy cut my hair, well just a trim around my ears. I had some wild hairs that would always be over my ears and mommy couldn't stand them! Plus they would stick out straight after I got up from a nap, looked like a crazy person! So here's before and after shots....get out your magnifying glass, it's hard to see! But it made a big difference, Mamaw says I look like a little man now.
